Brent, I look to your sites (Serious Faith, etc.) to keep me informed about various things that are going on around me and around the world. For example, I didn't see Avatar nor did I plan to. However, after reading the entire Avartar article on the Berean Website you suggested, I forwarded the excellent Advatar article to several people who I believed have likely already seen it or might be planning on seeing it. I felt it was so informative and important that I put on my Facebook page. Thanks for staying on top of things. God is using you!

Thank you, Brent, for your thoughtful response. I believe that we are more in agreement than not. My environmental viewpoints are not political at all, but more selfish in nature...I'm concerned for the quality of life that my children and grandchildren will have.

"I have very little to say about Christians who jump on the environmentalist bandwagon, even the politically correct one, except to say I disagree (because environmental results are not the objective; political power is)."

I agree, I agree, I agree! And I'd also like to say that Christians who jump on the "conservative" bandwagon can be equally guilty of using poor discernment. We are Christians & we follow Christ & his teachings. We are not called to align ourselves with *any* political group...conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican, Fox News, or CNN;-) All of these are man-made institutions, thus they are all imperfect, and all are deserving of our skepticism.

Now I will step down from my hundred-foot high soap box...
