Yeah, I know. I’m really insensitive aren’t I. In reality, no I’m not. I’m sad for ANYONE who has to admit God exists when it’s too late to do anything about it.
I have an atheist friend I’ve been emailing regularly who will face a similar revelation about God someday. I just hope she does it on this side of eternity.

Why do you assume the only choices are Christianity and atheism?
Suppose the Jews are right (this should be reasonable for a Christian, because Christianity implicitly assumes large parts of Judaism are correct). How bad off are you and I?
Most Jewish scholars say that the 7 laws given to Noah apply to all people, not just Jews. The seven Noachide laws are similar to the 10 commandments, including the first one, which forbids idolatry.
Now, an atheist can have obeyed the 7 laws of Noah, but no Christian can, because worshipping Jesus as a god is idolatry, if Judaism is right.
I “assume” nothing of the sort. There are thousands of “choices” but when it comes down to it, only two REAL choices: accept God on His terms, or reject God on your terms. Christianity is about “done” (what God did for us that we cannot do for ourselves). Every other religion (and atheism IS a religion though atheists are either to proud or too illogical to admit it publicly) is about “DO” (what man can DO for himself). Those are your only two real choices.
I appreciated your other comment that was actually a question and response rather than a one liner insult. Stick to real conversation…. the insults just show you don’t know what you are talking about.
